Frequently Asked Questions
What prices do I charge for my Keepsake Products?
All of your products should be priced in line with our own Recommended
Retail Prices. However, if you have specialised in a particular area
of production, you will have enough margin in your products to offer
discounts and promotions, should you so wish.
What happens when my supply of frames and raw materials run
out?
You can purchase all of the necessary materials through us at preferential
trade prices.
What happens when my supply of marketing materials run out?
Economies of scale allow these to be ordered through us at below retail
prices. Furthermore, because we have already absorbed the cost of the
initial design fees, you benefit from just paying basic re-print prices.
Do I have to buy my materials through The Keepsake Co?
Yes, The Keepsake Co has worked hard to develop a high-quality brand
identity, therefore it is vital that all of the materials and supplies
remain consistent. Therefore we cannot allow you to purchase any materials
from alternative sources. Our group buying power ensures good economies
of scale, allowing you to purchase through us, at preferential rates.
It is extremely unlikely, as a sole trader, that you would obtain materials
of this quality at any lower rate.
Am I free to come on one of your courses, but to operate my
production business independently, under my own name?
No! We’re afraid not! We are only willing to share our knowledge
and expertise to those committed to working as part of our rapidly expanding
team! By working with us, as a Licensee you will have access to all
of the benefits of a Franchise without any of the high costs, targets
and restrictions. You will benefit from reduced set up costs and gain
access to all the latest technology and innovations. You will have the
back up in marketing and support from a National company but still maintain
the freedom of running your own business – we feel this is a win-win
situation!
Can I sell Products or Services from other Suppliers alongside the Keepsake Co Range?
I’m we’re afraid not. We work hard to maintain our good reputation and therefore would not want customers to associate our name with low quality items that we have not approved. Furthermore, Senior Keepsake Consultants can only offer production services on those ranges they have been accredited for, by way of completion of the necessary Training. Any Consultant found to be promoting competitive products, not authorized by The Keepsake Co, or offering Keepsake Production Services, which we have not accredited them on, will automatically loose their license.
Is there anyone already operating a Keepsake Co Business in
my area?
We will be happy to let you know of any Consultants operating in your
area. There can easily be several Consultants in the same County, even
in some larger Cities or Towns. Unlike a franchise, we do not impose
any geographical restrictions.
Will I be expected to meet minimum performance levels or Sales
Targets?
No. Unlike a Franchise, with which comes high License Fees, on-going
Royalty/Management Fees and demanding Sales Quotas and Targets; The
Keepsake Co offers the benefits of a Franchise, without the restrictions
and obligations. We share the success of our Training and Marketing
Programme and give you the freedom and support to build your business
according to your desires.
If I decide to move in the future can I transfer my license
to a new location?
If you are a Keepsake Consultant or Senior Keepsake Consultant, there
are no geographical restrictions. However, for Master Keepsake Consultants,
this would depend on whether there was already another Master Keepsake
Consultant operating within your new area. As each situation will vary
depending on circumstances, we will need to deal with each case independently.
Do I have the right to sell or transfer ownership of my Keepsake
Co Business?
No. We are not a Franchise. We are simply providing a range of Training
Courses that allow you to operate under license of our Brand. Keepsake
Co Licenses are non- transferable and cannot be sold to any third-party.
What should I bring with me to the training course and what
should I wear?
We suggest you wear comfortable clothes, such as jeans that you don’t
mind getting a little messy. Don’t forget to bring a Pen and Note
Paper!
I’m very interested! What do I need to do next?
The next stage would be an informal telephone discussion so that we
can find out more about each other. Then, assuming you wish to progress
further, we will send you our Contract Agreement and Non-Disclosure
Document, which you will need to sign and return to us along with your
payment. We will then finalise the dates for your training!
